Once dubbed as the ‘Pearl of Asia’, Phnom Penh was considered one of the loveliest French-built cities in Indochina. The city saw a recline by the impact of war and revolution. But it has risen from the ashes to take its place as the cool capital of the region. Delve into the Phnom Penh's ancient past at the National Museum, trace the trauma of the war at Killing Fields and the Tuol Sleng Museum, street-surf through the local markets and stalls, enjoy a river cruise up to the mighty Mekong River and discover the subtle flavor of Khmer cuisine. Whatever your pleasure, it’s all here in Phnom Penh.
