Travel Requirements for Filipinos

It is the sole responsibility of every traveler to ensure that he or she has valid travel documentation available for presentation which meets the requirements of airlines, immigration and other government authorities at every entry and exit point. In general, Filipinos traveling abroad need only to present the following documents:

1. Valid Passport - at least 6 months. A valid passport is required to enter and leave most foreign countries; hence, your passport is one thing you cannot simply leave home without. Ensure that your current passport is valid for at least six months after the duration of your intended travel. If your passport is due to expire, renew the same ahead of time to avoid travel problems.

2. Valid Original Visa (when required). Secure a visa if it is required by the  country you intend to visit. The requirements usually include passport, identification documents, proof of income and other documents related to the purpose of travel. There are dozens of countries though that you can go visit for a certain number of days without need of a visa.

3. For tourist, a return ticket pursuant to Memorandum Order No. MCL – 07-019 issued on October 24, 2007.

4. Positive identification for check-in at the airport. This may be any government-issued identification cards such as a driver's license, Social Security System ID, Government Insurance System e-card, Professional Regulations Commission ID, Voter's ID or school ID.

5. DSWD Clearance for minors
    a.  traveling alone or
    b.  traveling with an adult other than his or her parent
(e.g. uncle, aunt, grandparents, and others)
The clearance must be presented to the immigration officer before departure.
